Answers to your Questions
How much will it cost?
It's always ideal for us to visit your home to determine the cost of your move, as it depends on numerous factors such as packing, access, size of lorry, number of staff etc. With this information we can compile an accurate quotation tailored to your individual move.

What is included in the quotation?
Each quotation is different as we tailor make each one to suit your unique requirements. We provide you with a complete service that can include things such as:

  • All packaging materials; boxes, tape, tissue, wardrobe boxes, bubble wrap, mattress covers and sofa covers.
  • Full packing service.
  • Full removal service - we dismantle items such as beds, wardrobes and so on. We also remove things from walls and ceilings, such as bookshelves and cabinets.
  • Full unpacking service.
  • Waste disposal – old sofas or mattresses that you don’t require for your new home.

What areas do you cover?
We cover the whole of the UK and Europe with our own transport offering full, part and return load services. And of course, we can move you virtually anywhere in the world, in conjunction with our network of partners around the globe.

How much notice do you require?
UK household removals are usually booked between 7-14 days before the expected move takes place. For European removals ideally at least 21 days notice is required. It is, however, possible to book at short notice, subject to our schedule. Please always try to give as much notice as possible.

What size are your vehicles?
We operate a range of vehicles from 3.5 ton vans up to 17 ton purpose built removal vehicles. Please let us know if there is difficult access at either address as this will allow us to plan your move with smaller vehicles or make the necessary arrangements to tranship your goods.

How do I arrange parking bay suspension?
It is usually the local council who deal with this matter. Telephone numbers are different for each area, contact a telephone directory company for numbers in your area.

Do you dismantle and re-assemble my bed, wardrobe etc.?
Unless this was agreed at the quotation stage, then all items needing dismantling are expected to be dismantled and ready to move prior to our arrival. If agreed at the quotation stage our staff will carry out dismantling and re-assembling to the best of their ability. It is essential that we know what is required at the quotation stage to allow for the necessary resources and equipment to be provided.

Do I need to unpack my chest of drawers?
Providing the unit is sturdy enough then light items such as clothing, bedding etc. can be left in. Please remove any books, magazines, breakable items etc. Self assembly furniture does not respond well to moving so this type of furniture must only be moved while completely empty.

What should I do with my gas cylinders or flammable liquids?
Gas cylinders cannot be transported on our vehicles. Flammable liquids, however contained, must not be submitted for removal either. These items are not covered under our insurance, other arrangements must be made. Equipment such as garden mowers and chainsaws should be drained of all liquids beforehand.

Will you empty my loft?
Unless the loft has a fitted staircase, is boarded out and lit, our insurance does not cover our staff for this activity. Please ensure your loft is empty prior to our arrival.

Does my furniture get placed to my requirements?
It is always best if you have a clear idea of where you want your furniture to be placed. Our staff will endeavour to arrange the rooms to your liking but will not have the time to continually rearrange your room.

What are the size of your storage containers?
The containers are 7 ft x 5 ft x 7.5 ft high, holding approximately 250 cubic feet or 7 cubic metres. These are standard removal industry size, ideal for fork-lifting on and off vehicles allowing us to load and unload directly at your premises resulting in minimum handling.

How long can I store for?
You can store your goods for as long or short a period as necessary. Storage is charged weekly and all customers receive an invoice/statement every month.

How can I pay for storage?
You can pay by cheque, credit or debit card. A popular option is to pay by direct debit if you are storing for a longer period of time.

What items are not allowed to be stored?
Flammable items, gas bottles, plants, any opened foods such as oils, sauces etc.

When Do I Need To Pay for the Move?
The payment terms will be advised on your quotation.

How Do I Pay?
We accept BACS, CHAPS, cheques, debit and credit cards.

Will I Have A Dedicated Contact?
Yes, you will be assigned your own removal coordinator who will oversee your removal from start to finish.
